UTAH freshman Brian Blechen intercepted a pass on the first play of overtime, setting Joe Phillips for a 21-yard field goal that gave the Utes a 27-24 victory against No. 15 Pittsburgh on Thursday night.

The University of Utah volleyball team hits the road for the first time this season at the Northwestern Challenge this weekend. The Utes' first match in Evanston, Ill., will be against Morehead State, Friday at 4:30 p.m. CT. Saturday's doubleheader starts at 10 a.m., as the Utes take on Ole Miss, followed by host Northwestern at 7 p.m. CT.

The season opener between the Utes and the Panthers is one of four games involving two ranked teams in week one of college football. While many are saying, ‘It's just another game,' a win over Pittsburgh would catapult Utah into the national picture.
